Stately two-bedroom Victorian house
713 S 2nd Street This Victorian railroader house was built in 1900 with only one change in ownership in 117 years. While it needed a little dusting off, the trim, fir floors, kitchen cupboards, hanging light fixtures, and many other details are all still original. Ten foot ceilings and lots of light make this house feel big. The refinished fir floors are a beautiful red-blonde. We found them unfinished under layers of carpet and they have never looked as good as they do now. The kitchen has a new cork floor that will keep feet warm in the winter. This summer we added two new trees, 24 bushes, and a raised garden bed to the yard, as well as cleaned out existing beds uncovering heirloom roses, rhubarb, iris, and more. Two parking spots off the alley and a small detached garage makes access easy when the neighborhood gets busy on summer weekends. Sustainable
